Seaplanes.mv is run from Dhigurah in South Ari by people who have been arranging seaplane transfers for guesthouse travellers for years. We built it because the seaplane is usually sold as a resort experience, and it does not have to be.
Who you book with

Where the information comes from
- Landing lagoons - Trans Maldivian Airways' published list of the resorts it flies to, re-read every six hours. The live network.
- Island positions and coastlines - OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database Licence.
- Flight and boat times - our estimates from those positions, calibrated against the operator's published 30 minutes from Malé to South Ari. Your confirmed times come with your booking.
- Operating rules - daylight flying, the cut-offs, baggage - from the operator's published conditions, as researched for dhigurahseaplane.com.
- Island descriptions - deliberately limited to what is widely documented and does not change from year to year. No populations, no guesthouse counts.
The pictures
Every photograph is our own, taken on and around Dhigurah, including the seaplane in the opening frame. There is no stock photography. The island drawings are the islands' real coastlines from OpenStreetMap; the national map is drawn from the real positions of every landing lagoon and island on it.
